| Event Details | The NAIFC conducts SIF Student/High School Qualifiers in every city that holds the standard NAIFC Qualifier. The SIF Student/HS Qualifiers are held Saturday mornings from 8:00 AM to 12:00 Noon. Weigh-ins will take place as close to 12:00 noon as venue permits.
Open to students 12 years of age and older in a 2-person format. One (1) Coach/parent is allowed/encouraged per team on the ice to assist the student anglers but are prohibited from fishing. Coach/parent can drill the "next " hole with the student angler standing nearby- the coach/parent cannot drill continuous/numerous holes in a row (aka swiss cheesing an area) without the student angler fishing/using electronics in each hole. There are no entry fees to the High School Championship or High School Qualifiers. The student anglers will be competing at the Championship for scholarships/grants and trophies. Scholarships/grants will be awarded to the angler(s) when the angler(s) present their first quarter/semester college transcript. The Student/High School anglers are encouraged to join SIF (Student Ice Fishing - youth division of the NAIFC). The $25.00 SIF membership is highlighted by: VIP merchandise programs.
