Friday January 8th Seminar Series 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm (Cobblestone Inn)

Ice Fishing Fundamentals 5:00-7:00 pm

Free of charge and open to all. NAIFC Pro Staff will explain and demonstrate the basic skills needed and techniques used in ice fishing. Designed for the beginners and intermediate fisherman, Ice Fishing Fundamentals will provide basic skills used by every fisherman on the ice.
            Topics to include but not limited to:         Learn: Knot tying
                                                                        Bait: how to put on a hook... how to keep alive.
                                                                        Plastics: How and when to use.
                                                                        Jigs: Style, size and use.
                                                                        How to: Sharpen a hook.
                                                                        How to: Fillet a fish. 
                                                                        Cooking/frying: breading basics.
                                                                        Strike detection: Spring bobbers, slip bobbers.

Kids Ice Camp Saturday January 9th 1:00 pm – 3:30 pm

Free of charge, open to all kids. . Each youth that attends the Kids Ice Camp will receive a free HT Enterprises Ice Rod and promotional items for their future ice fishing adventures.

In class tutorial (cobblestone Inn) 1:00pm - 2:00pm
NAIFC Pro Staff will demonstration indoors in a classroom setting: Ice Safety, Bait, Equipment and Jigging.

On Ice fishing (Lake Metigoshe) 2:00pm- 3:30 pm
Parents must accompany their kids during the on ice portion of this event. The kids and parents will then be invited to fish on Lake Metigoshe with the NAIFC Pro Staff.  Equipment will be provided. This is an outdoor event, please dress for the weather. This is an excellent opportunity to introduce a new way for kids to enjoy what the outdoors has to offer. Winter Fishing and introduction to the newest technology will give the parent and child a first look at ice fishing.

Saturday January 9th Rules Meeting 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm (Cobblestone inn)

This meeting is mandatory for at least one team member. Come early, have dinner, get your packets, and relax before the big day. The Rules meeting will start promptly at 7:00. 

5:00 – 6:00 pm late registration will be accepted up to 100 teams for an additional $20 fee. To avoid late fees register online or call Kathy Roberts at 320-229-0106, before Friday.

 

Sunday January 10th Indoor Weigh-In 2:00pm (cobblestone inn)

Come watch the teams as they weigh in their “Catch of the Day”. Find out which Teams will automatically get an invitation or did they accumulate enough points to secure their spot for the National Championship. Who will be competing for the Gold Rings and the honor of being called the 2016 National Champions!
