Meet-n-Greet Ice Fishing Fundamentals 5:30 PM-7:00 PM

Free of charge and open to all. NAIFC Pro Staff will explain and demonstrate the basic skills needed and techniques used in ice fishing. Designed for the beginners and intermediate fisherman, Ice Fishing Fundamentals will provide basic skills used by every fisherman.

            Topics to include but not limited to:         

                                                                       Knot Tying: why different knots work on different days.                                                                                                                                      Bait:                                                                                                                                                                                                                              Plastics: How and when to use.                                                                                                                                                                                  Jigs: Style, size and use.                                                                                                                                                                                              How to: Sharpen a hook.                                                                                                                                                                                             Strike detection: Spring bobbers, slip bobbers

Meet-n-Greet Speakers 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM

This portion of the NAIFC Friday Night Meet-n-Greet is geared toward educating fishermen. Learn how to use the best products along with the cutting-edge techniques in the ice industry. The Meet-n-Greet is free of charge and open to the public.

Saturday January 5th

SIF High School Competition 8:00 AM–12:00 PM                   Held on Lake Agnes

Kids Ice Camp Indoor 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM                               Held at Ollie's Service on Broadway

Free of charge, open to all kids. . Each youth that attends the Kids Ice Camp will receive a fishing rod.

NAIFC Pro Staff will demonstration indoors in a classroom setting: Ice Safety, Bait, Equipment and Jigging.

Kids Ice Camp on Ice 2:00 PM – 3:30 PM                                Held on Lake Agnes
On Ice Fishing
Parents must accompany their kids during the on-ice portion of this event. The kids and parents will then be invited to fish with the NAIFC Pro Staff. Equipment will be provided. This is an outdoor event, please dress for the weather. This is an excellent opportunity to introduce a new way for kids to enjoy what the outdoors has to offer. Winter Fishing and introduction to the newest technology will give the parent and child a first look at ice fishing.


Social Hour and Registration 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM                   Held at the Holiday Inn - South of the Border Buffet available $12.00 tax incl.

This meeting is mandatory for at least one team member. Come early, get your packets, and relax before the big day. The Rules meeting will start promptly at 7:00. 

From 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM late registration will be accepted up to 100 teams for an additional $20 fee. To avoid late fees register online or call Jack at (612)-308-4858, before Friday.


Sunday January 6th  

NAIFC Qualifier Competition 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM                   Held Lake Darling, Parking at Arrowwood Resort, Launch Public Access

Indoor Weigh-In 2:00 PM                                                        Held Arrowwood Resort, Indoor Tennis Center Lower Level

Come watch as the Teams weigh in their “Catch of the Day”. Find out which Teams will automatically get an invitation or did they accumulate enough points to secure their spot for the National Championship. Who will be competing for the Gold Rings and the honor of being called the 2019 National Champions!
