Friday February 1st Meet-n-Greet 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM at the Musky Tales Bait Shop

Meet and have a wide ranging discussion on Ice Fishing Fundamentals 5:00-7:00 pm

Free of charge and open to all. NAIFC Pro Staff will explain and demonstrate the skills and techniques used in Tournament ice fishing. Ice Fishing Fundamentals will provide basic skills used by every fisherman on the ice.
            Topics to include but not limited to:         Learn: Knot tying, how the shape of the knot changes your presentation.
                                                                        Bait: how to put on a hook... how to keep alive.
                                                                        Plastics: How and when to use.
                                                                        Jigs: Style, size and use.
                                                                        How to: Sharpen a hook.
                                                                        Strike detection: Spring bobbers, slip bobbers.

 7:00-9:00 PM  Tournament anglers will discuss, Long Linning, Tight Linning as a strike detection method, Electronics

Saturday February 2nd

SIF High School Competition 8:00 AM–12:00 PM                              Launched from Musky Tails

SIF High School Weigh-in 12:30 PM                                                 Held at Musky Tails

Top 10 High School Teams get an automatic Invite to the SIF - NAIFC High School National Championship, Isle Bay, Mille Lacs Lake, Isle MN where they will compete for SCHOLARSHIPS.  December 27-29, 2019
Kids Ice Camp Saturday February 2nd Kids Ice Camp 
Free of charge, open to all kids.  Each youth that attends the Kids Ice Camp will receive a "Free" Lucky Johns Ice Rod.

In class tutorial 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM at the Musky Tails Bait Shop
NAIFC and Ice Team Pro Staff will demonstration indoors: Ice Safety, Bait, Equipment and Jigging.

From 2:00 PM - 3:30 PM Kids will go "On-Ice" and apply what they just saw inside.
Parents must accompany their kids during the on ice portion of this event.  Equipment will be provided with holes drilled. This is an outdoor event, please dress for the weather. This is an excellent opportunity to introduce a new way for kids to enjoy what the outdoors has to offer. Winter Fishing and introduction to the newest technology will give the parent and child a first look at ice fishing.

Saturday February 2nd Rules Meeting 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm Held at Musky Tails

This meeting is mandatory for at least one team member. Come early, have dinner, get your packets, and relax before the big day. The Rules meeting will start promptly at 7:00. 

5:00 – 6:00 PM late registration will be accepted up to 100 teams for an additional $20 fee. To avoid late fees register online or call Jack at

Sunday February 2nd Indoor Weigh-In 2:00 PM at Musky Tails
Come watch the teams as they weigh in their “Catch of the Day”. Find out which Teams will automatically get an invitation or did they accumulate enough points to secure their spot for the National Championship. Who will be competing for the Gold Rings and the honor of being called the 2019 National Champions!
